If a Community wants to plan development of their essential service infrastructure, or someone wants to build a house, the Community needs to know what services are where and what suitable land is available. Access to this data should be readily accessible by the decision-makers.
Sinclair Knight Merz therefore, works with Communities to make this a reality through solutions such as GFIS (Graphical Facility Information System)
The GFIS provides a tool for management of spatially structured digital data sets of underground and above ground essential services and buildings over the Community. The information system benefits the Community by assisting the self-management of their land, their facilities and their resources more efficiently and is able to react accurately and confidently to inquiries regarding development and maintenance.
