The launch of the Quickbird satellite on the 18th October 2001 expanded the relationship with Sinclair Knight Merz becoming the exclusive regional distributor for Quickbird imagery in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

DigitalGlobe, is a imaging and information company, delivering information products and solutions meeting organisational needs across all market sectors.
The key to these services is the operation of the Quickbird Satellite providing 0.61 metre panchromatic and 2.44 metre multispectral imagery ~ currently the highest resolution satellite imagery available commercially in the world.

As DigitalGlobe’s partner in this region, Sinclair Knight Merz acts as DigitalGlobe’s sales representative for commercial Quickbird products and offer significant value-added services in geospatial production services such as orthorectification or map production, imagery analysis services and consultancy services.
