Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) is a leading global engineering, project delivery and sciences firm, providing services to the South American market in Mining and Metals, Water and Environment, and Power and Energy.

SKM has been operating in South America since 1998, when the company started working as sub-consultants on projects in Chile, Bolivia and Argentina. By the end of 1999 SKM had acquired the Chilean operation of International Mining Consultants (IMC Consultores). In September 2005, SKM completed the purchase of one of Chile’s premier engineering firms, Santiago-based Minmetal. The Santiago office is now well established, with activities also underway in Peru and Brazil.
