Sinclair Knight Merz were engaged by Transperth WA to conduct a business and system function review.  The review involved a comprehensive study of the data and information requirements of Transperth to support core business activities.  The review incorporated elements of systems modelling, knowledge management and data management.  Following the acceptance of the review Sinclair Knight Merz were then engaged to construct the systems outlined in the review, including design and implementation.

The system includes a fully integrated & centralised database which brought together disparate systems in a multi-user environment.

TRIS includes management systems for bus routes, bus stops, bus timing points, bus maintenance, contract variations, bus fleet management.

It maintains spatial and non-spatial data used in other systems for call centre operations, journey planning and bus timetable and bus route production.
